Life is pure hell. Find your death ground and exploit it. Sustain it and never look back. Better to die free [on death ground] than to live in the mundane horror of complacency or apathy.

I don't see the war part. War means someone you really don't like, and you want them crushed. Where? This is more like persuasion to me.
Chris Lejune (8 months ago)
thiery572 War is persuading the other side to give up, one way or another.

loved the interview, great nuggets of wisdom!
Bill Focker (1 year ago)
The Interviewer is annoying, let Greene talk. This guy is a putz. Let the Master talk. I'm judging him by his actions, blathering. He is really about himself stating much "I" and not asking questions from the audience's perspective. I love Robert Greene however.

who else thinks robert greene is the best psychologist philosopher of our time
Kauno Känsälä (19 days ago)
Robert Greene and Jordan B. Peterson are my two main favorite Philosophers of this time however Robert Greene takes 1st place.
Johnny Danell (26 days ago)
I love Robert Greene's books, the depth of his analysis of history is a pleasure to read. I love reading psychology, the thing is some academically trained psychologists would probably say that Robert don't have the credentials to teach about psychology, since he is not a psychologist or pshychiatrist. I say that is nonsense though, since understanding the human mind can be learned in many ways, and the dogmatic training of a profession is not always the best way, and almost never the only way to master something. Robert Greene's genious writing on human nature is a proof of this!
I The Undersigned (3 months ago)

Jasmine Abrams I didn't get you. Can you elaborate
Agent Smith (1 year ago)
Look at things as they are, look at peoples deeds not words, and, don't fight the last war. All these come down to "look at things as they are". Often, as Robert says, analyzing what we did wrong is the wrong approach. The mistakes we make are in most cases a result of not understanding the reality of the situation. lf I've done x instead of y I would win . but this is mostly just an illusion

HAIL THE 80s! why does this looks like it was filmed in the '80s? Like unless you MEANT to fake the '80s, jeez. Even the interviewer look and feel and his haircut. Everything looks 80s, the colors, the suit, the background, the graphics overlays. So so weird. oh yeah great interview
Henry Cruz (1 year ago)
does anyone have tips on the "mental fluidity" Robert talks about?
Bill Focker (1 year ago)
There is a book called "Flow" and practise.
Saulius Girdauskas (1 year ago)
Read "Mastery" by him, there are also some ideas in "The 50th law"
Dwayne Smith (1 year ago)
Henry Cruz I think that it can be summed up with one word: adaptation... adapting and channeling situations to your benefit.
Jertrude Quintana (1 year ago)
He is my God of philosophy and psychology. Thank u for your books. I defeated the group of psychopaths who tried to put me in a project without my knowing it's called Mind Bullshit Control
