Strange thing is that I bought a new GTX 980 around 2 years ago for €300. Now 2 years later the RX 580 still costs around €450 and is equally in performance to that GTX980. I just can't understand how a Nvidia card could have this high price/performance rate compared to the AMD gpu and that the RX 580 now still costs €150 euro's more than equal performance costed 2 years ago. Looking at the performance, this RX 580 should be priced around €200-250 euro's now.
To those Nvidia fanboys who are saying that AMD's "best" cannot compete with Nvidias "best". The RX 580 was meant as a budget mid range GPU. Just because its the best RX 500 series card does not mean it was meant to compete with the 1080. The 580 was only meant to give us a great GPU for the price.
if you do that its because you are not as rich as you where back then with the g-sync 144hz and gtx 980 config hahaha, but seriously if you do that , you just gonna lose your time
if you want only change ecosystem ok but if you want a real change wait for 144hz 4k g-sync2 hdr 1ms response time monitor and for new volta gpu ,thats gonna be a real remplacement for an a excellent gtx 980 config man!
MSAA is mostly a GPU thing, i get the same result really. I can put everything on Very High in 1080p max but have to keep AA to FXAA otherwise i dip below 60 in some parts. Without MSAA i get 70 to 100 fps with an average similar to the graph shown in the video. MSAA is just extremely demanding in all games, it's better to use TAA when a game offers it, does a better job at removing aliasing and costs only like 5 or so fps usually which aint no big deal. Only downside is it softens up the image a bit but it does such an amazing job of killing aliasing at such a lil' fps cost that it's worth it imo.
AMD Highest END GPU is now vega 56 and rx 64 between making CF tomorrow soo happy two RX 580 8gb. Factory OC and I'm not going for a RX 56 or a GTX 1070+ card because prices for those are like double the price of a rx 580 8gb and that's already expensive enough. + I already have one for the past year or so. I really wanted to get (I really like Sapphire they make the cards look so simple and that makes it feel nice. Sapphire is Number 1 for me for AMD unless they change there taste later on with the years which could happen, then MSI looks cool if I'm Building a Red, Black, and Green LED RIG possibly yellow and then Asus goes well with purple, dark blue and black colors ,but its just my opinion) Sapphire RX Vega 56/64 Nitro + LIKE REALLY BAD. Then Making a CF then I saw price and was like nah going CF will have the same performance as a Vega 56 anyways with that FreeSync screen love it. You know I was really close on getting a GTX 1060 6gb or GTX 1070 8gb I could have even gotten a GTX 1080 8gb over summer ,but then the monitor I was buying had a FreeSync tech and not Gsync and monitor for Gsync is 2.5times more and I mean a really good looking panel ofc its 2k. 4k in my country there is but not supported with Gsync the only ones with 4k supported with FreeSync or without. Anyways I got a really good anti glaring panel ohh my god it looked amazing the colors and everything. Samsung Monitor :D 27inch 1080p curved screen 60hz-72hz ofc had FreeSync + Game Mode makes the colors really shine basically like a TV could have gotten for 150bucks more with 4k 60hz but wouldn't be curved and wouldn't match the coloring choice of my rig case is Corsair Graphite 760T white. I wanted my rig to be a mix of colors between white, light blue/dark blue, and black which look's doop as hell. I would love to see how yah rigs look :D I post pictures of mines tomorrow. My taste to rig's is a lot similar to Dave Lee https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVYamHliCI9rw1tHR1xbkfw or D2D you may know him as. I wanted my Desktop rig to be different, since I have two laptops that have the whole black/red led for gamers and that starts to get old -_- at least for me I mean its all I see for gaming laptops even desktops. I rarely fine something different my Acer VX 15 basically the same depending which model you buy. Laptop with a GTX 1050 Ti looks like that and my HP star wars which I use for work and extremely light gaming has the same look with the red backlit keyboard Touch screen man Helps :).
not gonna lie there your right but then again a gtx 980 out performs a gtx 1060 6gb. The difference isent big pretty much the same it's like comparing a GTX 1070 vs a GTX 980 TI. Also I saw new GTX 980's will be with 8gb of vram somewhere and that gives it about 10% performance more or a little bit higher.
