Still, a lot of people don't have an idea why we have stock markets at all, because the topic is usually very dry. We made a short video about the basics of the stock exchanges. With robots. Robots are kewl! Short videos, explaining things. For example Evolution, the Universe, the Stock Market or controversial topics like Fracking. Because we love science. The U.S. Stock Exchanges

02:19
The U.S. Stock Exchanges The U.S. stock market comprises three major stock exchanges for day trading. Stock exchanges are businesses that make their profits from commissions and services. The stock exchanges compete among themselves by appealing to different business niches. Each stock exchange has its own unique specialties, technologies, advantages, and, of course, disadvantages. If you’re looking for an introduction to day trading in the US, here’s your basic guide. Meet the New York Stock Exchange The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is located on the corner of Wall and Broad streets. It is the largest stock exchange in the world, based on the market value of the companies traded on it, and therefore the highest number of day traders participate on this exchange. The market value, known as market capitalization or “market cap,” multiplies the number of publicly held shares of stock by the exchange-traded price of each share. The market cap of stocks traded in the NYSE exceeded $21 trillion as of June 2017. The NYSE trading list comprises more than 3,000 companies. It wasn't so long ago that NYSE market orders were handled by humans known as floor traders. In those days, the execution time of an NYSE transaction could take up to two minutes. But the unavoidable has happened to the world's largest stock exchange. The revolution started slowly. Nasdaq, the United States’ first computerized stock exchange, became the model when it began operations in 1971. It took some time, but computers have now taken over most processes at the NYSE, despite strong opposition by the day traders. Computerized day trading has provided exactly what the public wanted: greater competition, fewer commissions, greater transparency, and higher execution speed. Meet the Nasdaq The Nasdaq (formerly known as NASDAQ when it was an acronym for National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations) was established in 1971 as the world's first electronic stock exchange. Unlike the NYSE, it immediately computerized all of its trade processes. From that point on, day traders no longer needed to compete over each other’s shouts on the trading floor. Everything was push-button. The result: commissions slowly dropped, the quality of service improved, competition grew, and companies of a new type issued stocks and raised trillions of dollars. Within two decades, and with the proliferation of the internet, Nasdaq was accessible in the home of every trader. For the first time, the road to private trading was opened, day trading classes were being offered as were more services for beginner day traders. We can, in fact, say that the profession of day trading as we know it was born with Nasdaq’s founding. Meet the NYSE American The NYSE American was first established in 1842 as the American Stock Exchange. The NYSE acquired this stock exchange in 2008. NYSE American is now the NYSE's market for small-cap companies. Like the NYSE, it now has moved its processes to quick, effective computerized execution. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe for NEW You Tube trading lesson here: https://youtube.com/user/TradenetGlobalUK?sub_confirmation=1 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Helpful links: Join my trading group: Get education & a Funded Account: http://www.tradenet.com/join-funded-accounts/?affiliate_id=35955&affiliate_org=2&web_page=&placement=&campaign_id=7010O000000fKjw Watch my FREE live You Tube streaming Trading Room: https://www.youtube.com/c/TradenetGlobalUK/live Join a FREE 14 day trial in my live Trading Room: https://www.tradenet.com/14-day-free-trial/?affiliate_id=35955&affiliate_org=2&web_page=&placement=&campaign_id=7010O000000fKjw Watch all my lessons here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLb9tmPwCEfFjZWiIEYa4BfF4BZX0F0mWz View the FREE "Part one" of my trading book "The Market Whisperer" here: http://books.tradenet.com/ Buy my best selling book at Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1540353524 Open a Colmex account (Non-US residents): https://services.colmexpro.com/registration/start.aspx Watch all my day trading live videos at: http://www.youtube.com/user/TradenetGlobalUK/videos Contact Tradenet: [email protected] Contact Meir Barak: [email protected] Visit our website: www.tradenet.com Germany: www.tradenet.de

Basic Economics: the stock market explained in two minutes!

02:04
A stock market, equity market or share market is the aggregation of buyers and sellers (a loose network of economic transactions, not a physical facility or discrete entity) of stocks (also called shares), which represent ownership claims on businesses; these may include securities listed on a public stock exchange as well as those only traded privately. Examples of the latter include shares of private companies which are sold to investors through equity crowdfunding platforms. Stock exchanges list shares of common equity as well as other security types, e.g. corporate bonds and convertible bonds. Stocks can be categorised in various ways. One way is by the country where the company is domiciled. For example, Nestlé and Novartis are domiciled in Switzerland, so they may be considered as part of the Swiss stock market, although their stock may also be traded on exchanges in other countries, for example, as American Depository Receipts (ADRs) on U.S. stock markets. At the close of 2012, the size of the world stock market (total market capitalisation) was about US$55 trillion.[1] By country, the largest market was the United States (about 34%), followed by Japan (about 6%) and the United Kingdom (about 6%).[2] These numbers increased in 2013.[3] As of 2015, there are a total of 60 stock exchanges in the world with a total market capitalization of $69 trillion. Of these, there are 16 exchanges with a market capitalization of $1 trillion or more, and they account for 87% of global market capitalization. Apart from the Australian Securities Exchange, these 16 exchanges are based in one of three continents: North America, Europe and Asia.[4] A stock exchange is a place where, or an organization through which, individuals and organisations can trade stocks. Many large companies have their stock listed on a stock exchange. This makes the stock more liquid and thus more attractive to many investors. It may also act as a guarantor of settlement. Other stocks may be traded "over the counter" (OTC), that is, through a dealer. Some large companies will have their stock listed on more than one exchange in different countries, so as to attract international investors.[5] Stock exchanges may also cover other types of securities, such as fixed interest securities (bonds) or (less frequently) derivatives, which are more likely to be traded OTC. Stock market stock market stock market How to make money on the stock market Trade in stock markets means the transfer for money of a stock or security from a seller to a buyer. This requires these two parties to agree on a price. Equities (stocks or shares) confer an ownership interest in a particular company. Participants in the stock market range from small individual stock investors to larger trader investors, who can be based anywhere in the world, and may include banks, insurance companies or pension funds, and hedge funds. Their buy or sell orders may be executed on their behalf by a stock exchange trader. Some exchanges are physical locations where transactions are carried out on a trading floor, by a method known as open outcry. This method is used in some stock exchanges and commodity exchanges, and involves traders shouting bid and offer prices. The other type of stock exchange has a network of computers where trades are made electronically. An example of such an exchange is the NASDAQ. A potential buyer bids a specific price for a stock, and a potential seller asks a specific price for the same stock. Buying or selling at the market means you will accept any ask price or bid price for the stock. When the bid and ask prices match, a sale takes place, on a first-come, first-served basis if there are multiple bidders or askers at a given price. The purpose of a stock exchange is to facilitate the exchange of securities between buyers and sellers, thus providing a marketplace. The exchanges provide real-time trading information on the listed securities, facilitating price discovery. The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is a physical exchange, with a hybrid market for placing orders electronically from any location as well as on the trading floor. Orders executed on the trading floor enter by way of exchange members and flow down to a floor broker, who submits the order electronically to the floor trading post for the Designated Market Maker ("DMM") for that stock to trade the order. The DMM's job is to maintain a two-sided market, meaning orders to buy and sell the security if there are no other buyers and sellers. If a spread exists, no trade immediately takes place—in this case the DMM may use their own resources (money or stock) to close the difference. Once a trade has been made, the details are reported on the "tape" and sent back to the brokerage firm, which then notifies the investor who placed the order. Computers play an important role, especially for program trading.

The History of Stock Market Trading

02:04
See more Tradenet Wiki videos here: https://www.tradenet.com/the-history-of-wall-street-day-trading/ The History of Stock Market Trading: Stock trading is documented in ancient writings as early as 400 B.C., but the most significant initial sale of stocks to the public occurred in Amsterdam in 1602 with the establishment of the Dutch East India Company as an international spice company. Over the years, additional public companies were established in Amsterdam, and stock trading took on an organizational nature. Some few years later in London, 1693, the first bonds began to be traded. Immediately afterward, several British companies began trading shares of their stock. London’s first stock traders operated in coffee shops on Change Street, adjacent to the Royal Exchange trading center. These early stock traders were not allowed to enter the Royal Exchange because of their known “bad habits.” In 1698, one John Casting, who liked to conduct business in Jonathan’s Coffee House, began hanging a list of stocks and their prices outside the coffee house. This list is considered the first milestone in establishing London’s stock exchange. Over the years to follow, several companies rose and fell, but the most widely known case was that of the South Sea Company, established in 1711 for the purpose of trade with South America. The company’s shares were snapped up, their price rocketing upward. Within a few years, it became apparent that expectations of successful trading with the New World were exaggerated, and in 1720 prices fell in one sudden drop, creating the first bubble burst in history. In 1789, stocks and bonds began to be traded in the United States. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe for NEW You Tube trading lesson here: https://youtube.com/user/TradenetGlobalUK?sub_confirmation=1 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Helpful links: Join my trading group: Get education & a Funded Account: http://www.tradenet.com/join-funded-accounts/?affiliate_id=35955&affiliate_org=2&web_page=&placement=&campaign_id=7010O000000fKjw Watch my FREE live You Tube streaming Trading Room: https://www.youtube.com/c/TradenetGlobalUK/live Join a FREE 14 day trial in my live Trading Room: https://www.tradenet.com/14-day-free-trial/?affiliate_id=35955&affiliate_org=2&web_page=&placement=&campaign_id=7010O000000fKjw Watch all my lessons here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLb9tmPwCEfFjZWiIEYa4BfF4BZX0F0mWz View the FREE "Part one" of my trading book "The Market Whisperer" here: http://books.tradenet.com/ Buy my best selling book at Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1540353524 Open a Colmex account (Non-US residents): https://services.colmexpro.com/registration/start.aspx Watch all my day trading live videos at: http://www.youtube.com/user/TradenetGlobalUK/videos Contact Tradenet: [email protected] Contact Meir Barak: [email protected] Visit our website: www.tradenet.com Germany: www.tradenet.de

Gold and Oil are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to commodities. In this video David Jones explains what the three main groups are and what factors influence them the most. Energy, precious metals and agricultural products are what make the world function. They are its lifeblood and vital organs. Because of this importance they are actually traded often with futures, so that there is a guarantee that they will be there when needed. From politics and weather to disease and speculation, commodities are among the most volatile instruments in the financial world. Their specifics are governed by a wide range of variables and understanding what drives their prices up and down is one of the hardest challenges that traders face. Among the other more popular commodities we have silver, natural gas, wheat, orange juice, cattle. The list is actually quite long and the factors that change their price too. Whether it’s interest rates in the U.S., oil production in Saudi Arabia and Venezuela, or a insect invasion in Southeast Asia, it’s definitely an exciting world to trade in. At Trading 212 we provide an execution only service. This video should not be construed as investment advice. Investments can fall and rise. Capital at risk. CFDs are higher risk because of leverage.

Phillip Taylor MBE review. World Stock Exchanges

08:17
BOOK REVIEW WORLD STOCK EXCHANGES A Practical Guide 2nd edition Consulting Editor: Hugh Maule ISBN: 978 1 78742 144 8 GLOBE LAW AND BUSINESS LTD www.GlobeLawandBusiness.com __________________________________________________ AN EFFICIENT AND AUTHORITATIVE GUIDE TO THE WORLD’S MAJOR STOCK EXCHANGES — NOW IN A NEW EDITION An appreciation by Elizabeth Robson Taylor of Richmond Green Chambers and Phillip Taylor MBE, Head of Chambers and Reviews Editor, “The Barrister” For companies seeking a listing on a stock exchange in order to acquire a relatively reliable source of working capital, this book from Globe Law and Business, with its global perspective, is quite a find. Now in a new second edition, it functions as an information rich, efficient and authoritative guide to the world’s major stock exchanges, from Australia, to the UK and the United States. Editor Hugh Maule, who also writes the two chapters on the London Stock Exchange, has assigned a team of some twenty-three expert contributors to the task, most holding senior positions in some of the world’s top law firms. Each offers the benefit of special expertise, as well as local knowledge of the area in which each stock exchange is based. Besides the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), the London Stock Exchange (plus AIM), plus the New York Stock Exchange (plus Nasdaq) already referred to, there are quite a few more based in — and here’s the list — Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, The Netherlands, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This is a by no means exhaustive list. There are a lot more, mainly smaller, exchanges. But those featured in this guide are the most prominent, thereby enabling companies and their advisers to compare off the merits of each. Fortunately for the time-poor reader, this guide is logically organised and convenient to use. Most chapters open with an overview or introduction, proceeding from there to an often detailed and certainly informative analysis of the salient facts pertaining to each exchange, including a summary its history and background. Typically, each chapter will discuss such areas as the legislative/regulatory framework and the principal requirements by which a company can obtain a listing. These include eligibility requirements, details of documentation and other matters such as financial information, corporate governance and much more, notably the complex web of procedures needed to secure a flotation. ‘Stock markets around the world provide a vital function in the overall fabric of business and society,’ says Hugh Maule, ‘providing the structure for the investment needs and requirements for pension funds, insurance funds and other investment businesses as well as retail investors with those companies who seek and maintain a listing of their shares.’ ‘This book provides authoritative assistance,’ he adds, ‘in the understanding of how these stock markets work.’ And, indeed, it does. If you called the book a comparison site in print of world stock exchanges, you wouldn’t be too far wrong. As well as lawyers and accountants, bankers, brokers and certainly financial advisers will find this book indispensable. But note the word of caution from the publishers that legal advice should be sought before taking any action based on the information provided. The date of publication is cited as at 8th November 2018.

How a Stock Exchange Works: "Work of the Stock Exchange" 1941 Coronet Instructional Films

Illustrates the details of buying and selling operations on the exchange floor and in the broker's office, showing how these operations bring to land, labor and management the necessary capital for production." Reupload of a previously uploaded film with improved video & sound. Originally a public domain film from the Library of Congress Prelinger Archives, slightly cropped to remove uneven edges, with the aspect ratio corrected, and one-pass brightness-contrast-color correction & mild video noise reduction applied. The soundtrack was also processed with volume normalization, noise reduction, clipping reduction, and/or equalization (the resulting sound, though not perfect, is far less noisy than the original). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stock_exchange Wikipedia license: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ A stock exchange is a form of exchange which provides services for stock brokers and traders to buy or sell stocks, bonds, and other securities. Stock exchanges also provide facilities for issue and redemption of securities and other financial instruments, and capital events including the payment of income and dividends. Securities traded on a stock exchange include stock issued by listed companies, unit trusts, derivatives, pooled investment products and bonds. Stock exchanges often function as "continuous auction" markets, with buyers and sellers consummating transactions at a central location, such as the floor of the exchange. To be able to trade a security on a certain stock exchange, it must be listed there. Usually, there is a central location at least for record keeping, but trade is increasingly less linked to such a physical place, as modern markets are electronic networks, which gives them advantages of increased speed and reduced cost of transactions. Trade on an exchange is by members only. The initial public offering of stocks and bonds to investors is by definition done in the primary market and subsequent trading is done in the secondary market. A stock exchange is often the most important component of a stock market. Supply and demand in stock markets are driven by various factors that, as in all free markets, affect the price of stocks (see stock valuation). There is usually no compulsion to issue stock via the stock exchange itself, nor must stock be subsequently traded on the exchange. Such trading is said to be off exchange or over-the-counter. This is the usual way that derivatives and bonds are traded. Increasingly, stock exchanges are part of a global market for securities. In recent years, various other trading venues, such as electronic communication networks, alternative trading systems and "dark pools" have taken much of the trading activity away from traditional stock exchanges... The Dutch East India Company, formed to build up the spice trade, operated as a colonial ruler... Control of the company was held tightly by its directors, with ordinary shareholders not having much influence on management or even access to the company's accounting statements. However, shareholders were rewarded well for their investment. The company paid an average dividend of over 16 percent per year from 1602 to 1650. Financial innovation in Amsterdam took many forms. In 1609, investors led by one Isaac Le Maire formed history's first bear syndicate, but their coordinated trading had only a modest impact in driving down share prices, which tended to be robust throughout the 17th century. By the 1620s, the company was expanding its securities issuance with the first use of corporate bonds. Joseph de la Vega, also known as Joseph Penso de la Vega and by other variations of his name, was an Amsterdam trader from a Spanish Jewish family and a prolific writer as well as a successful businessman in 17th-century Amsterdam. His 1688 book Confusion of Confusions... was the earliest book about stock trading... William sought to modernize England's finances to pay for its wars, and thus the kingdom's first government bonds were issued in 1693 and the Bank of England was set up the following year. Soon thereafter, English joint-stock companies began going public. London's first stockbrokers, however, were barred from the old commercial center known as the Royal Exchange, reportedly because of their rude manners. Instead, the new trade was conducted from coffee houses along Exchange Alley. By 1698, a broker named John Castaing, operating out of Jonathan's Coffee House, was posting regular lists of stock and commodity prices. Those lists mark the beginning of the London Stock Exchange... and by the 1790s shares were being traded in the young United States...

Introducing the Sustainable Stock Exchange Initiative (SSE)

03:22
The Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative is a peer-to-peer learning platform for exploring how exchanges, in collaboration with investors, regulators, and companies, can enhance corporate transparency – and ultimately performance – on ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) issues and encourage sustainable investment. Since 2012, several other leading exchanges have joined the group of SSE Partner Exchanges. UNCTAD, the UN Global Compact, the PRI and UNEP-FI, as the core organizer of the SSE Initiative, also committed to supporting stock exchanges in this effort. The SSE initiative invites exchanges globally to become a Partner Stock Exchange within the SSE by making a voluntary public commitment to promote improved ESG disclosure and performance among listed companies. http://www.sseinitiative.org

Stock Market: "Working Dollars" 1957 New York Stock Exchange Monthly Investment Plan

Public domain film from the Library of Congress Prelinger Archives, slightly cropped to remove uneven edges, with the aspect ratio corrected, and one-pass brightness-contrast-color correction & mild video noise reduction applied. The soundtrack was also processed with volume normalization, noise reduction, clipping reduction, and/or equalization (the resulting sound, though not perfect, is far less noisy than the original). http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stock_market A stock market or equity market is a public entity (a loose network of economic transactions, not a physical facility or discrete entity) for the trading of company stock (shares) and derivatives at an agreed price; these are securities listed on a stock exchange as well as those only traded privately. The size of the world stock market was estimated at about $36.6 trillion at the beginning of October 2008. The total world derivatives market has been estimated at about $791 trillion face or nominal value, 11 times the size of the entire world economy. The value of the derivatives market, because it is stated in terms of notional values, cannot be directly compared to a stock or a fixed income security, which traditionally refers to an actual value... The stocks are listed and traded on stock exchanges which are entities of a corporation or mutual organization specialized in the business of bringing buyers and sellers of the organizations to a listing of stocks and securities together. The largest stock market in the United States, by market capitalization, is the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)... Market participants include individual retail investors, institutional investors such as mutual funds, banks, insurance companies and hedge funds, and also publicly traded corporations trading in their own shares. Some studies have suggested that institutional investors and corporations trading in their own shares generally receive higher risk-adjusted returns than retail investors. Participants in the stock market range from small individual stock investors to large hedge fund traders, who can be based anywhere. Their orders usually end up with a professional at a stock exchange, who executes the order of buying or selling. Some exchanges are physical locations where transactions are carried out on a trading floor, by a method known as open outcry. This type of auction is used in stock exchanges and commodity exchanges where traders may enter "verbal" bids and offers simultaneously. The other type of stock exchange is a virtual kind, composed of a network of computers where trades are made electronically via traders. Actual trades are based on an auction market model where a potential buyer bids a specific price for a stock and a potential seller asks a specific price for the stock. (Buying or selling at market means you will accept any ask price or bid price for the stock, respectively.) When the bid and ask prices match, a sale takes place, on a first-come-first-served basis if there are multiple bidders or askers at a given price. The purpose of a stock exchange is to facilitate the exchange of securities between buyers and sellers, thus providing a marketplace (virtual or real). The exchanges provide real-time trading information on the listed securities, facilitating price discovery. The New York Stock Exchange is a physical exchange, also referred to as a listed exchange -- only stocks listed with the exchange may be traded. Orders enter by way of exchange members and flow down to a floor broker, who goes to the floor trading post specialist for that stock to trade the order. The specialist's job is to match buy and sell orders using open outcry. If a spread exists, no trade immediately takes place—in this case the specialist should use his/her own resources (money or stock) to close the difference after his/her judged time. Once a trade has been made the details are reported on the "tape" and sent back to the brokerage firm, which then notifies the investor who placed the order. Although there is a significant amount of human contact in this process, computers play an important role, especially for so-called "program trading". The NASDAQ is a virtual listed exchange, where all of the trading is done over a computer network. The process is similar to the New York Stock Exchange. However, buyers and sellers are electronically matched. One or more NASDAQ market makers will always provide a bid and ask price at which they will always purchase or sell 'their' stock...

Stock Market What Makes Us Tick(1952) New York Stock Exchange NYSE

11:33
A look at the Stock Market. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stock_market A stock market, equity market or share market is the aggregation of buyers and sellers (a loose network of economic transactions, not a physical facility or discrete entity) of stocks (also called shares), which represent ownership claims on businesses; these may include securities listed on a public stock exchange, as well as stock that is only traded privately. Examples of the latter include shares of private companies which are sold to investors through equity crowdfunding platforms. Stock exchanges list shares of common equity as well as other security types, e.g. corporate bonds and convertible bonds. Stocks are categorized in various ways. As of 2017, the size of the world stock market (total market capitalization) was about US$79.225 trillion.[1] By country, the largest market was the United States (about 34%), followed by Japan (about 6%) and the United Kingdom (about 6%).[2] These numbers increased in 2013.[3] As of 2015, there are a total of 60 stock exchanges in the world with a total market capitalization of $69 trillion. Of these, there are 16 exchanges with a market capitalization of $1 trillion or more, and they account for 87% of global market capitalization. Apart from the Australian Securities Exchange, these 16 exchanges are based in one of three continents: North America, Europe and Asia.[4] Stock exchange Main article: Stock exchange A stock exchange is an exchange (or bourse)[note 1] where stock brokers and traders can buy and sell shares of stock, bonds, and other securities. Many large companies have their stocks listed on a stock exchange. This makes the stock more liquid and thus more attractive to many investors. The exchange may also act as a guarantor of settlement. Other stocks may be traded "over the counter" (OTC), that is, through a dealer. Some large companies will have their stock listed on more than one exchange in different countries, so as to attract international investors.[7] Stock exchanges may also cover other types of securities, such as fixed interest securities (bonds) or (less frequently) derivatives which are more likely to be traded OTC.

Fake Stock Tips Call from Indore - How they trap Investor or Trader

23:46
Fake Stock Tips Call is a very big nuisance in the stock market. The ignorant investor or traders are trapped by the companies who provide Fake Stock Tips Call. The investor or trader trust these companies and take a position as suggested by these agencies. Recently, I received one such call. The executive was insisting me to go for intraday trading as it is the safest bet for them. For example, if they target 100 traders then they give BUY call to 50 clients and SELL call to rest 50 clients. By doing this their success rate is always 50%. During my call, i requested the executive to provide me the two calls for swing trading and unfortunately, both were loss-making trades. In the comments section on my YouTube channel, i get a lot of inputs from the viewers how they lost huge money because of these Fake Stock Tips Call. The objective of this video is just to caution the viewers against these Fake Stock Tips Call. You should do your own research and then take any decision based on the suggestion of your financial planner or advisor. If you liked this video, You can "Subscribe" to my YouTube Channel. If you need to learn more about the basics candlesticks and please click here three-part candlestick series. Here are some of the most common mistakes traders make the technical indicators. Don’t overload your screen with indicators and display the indicators that you actually use on your charts a lot of traders overload their charts with indicators as excuse to over trade.Remember indicators are just an indication of something happening in the market they are crystal ball trying to predict the future. Don’t blame the indicators where traders and workout no matter what indicators you use your still have to take losses in trading. Two types of indicators. There are two types of markets trending and range bound or cyber to markets. A trending market looks like this but the market is moving in one direction arrange panel Cyprus market looks like this were the market is moving up and down within a specific range indicators tend to be either suited trending or range assignment markets. Indicator one RSI. The relative strength index compares the magnitude of recent gains to recent losses in the attempt to determine overbought and oversold conditions of instrument as you can see from the chart the RSI ranges from 0 to 100. Insurance is deemed to be overbought once the RSI approaches the 70 level mean that it maybe getting overvalued and is a good candidate for pullback likewise if the RSI approaches 30, then the instrument is oversold and therefore like to reverse. Traders will often use the RSI coming back out of overbought or oversold conditions as a signal to enter the market. A trade using RSI should be whether large rallies and drops in price will affect the RSI by potentially creating false buy or sell signals traders often come by the RSI such as the MACD. Indicator two MACD. Moving average convergence divergences is one of the most well-known unused indicates in technical analysis this indicator is made of two exponential moving averages which help measure momentum henchmen. These moving averages and the changing distances between them become the MACD. Convergence means the moving averages moving closer together, divergence means they’re moving away from one another. Indicator three Bollinger bands. A Bollinger band starts off as a simple moving average and has two standard deviations plotted away from it that sounds a mouthful but the important part is because standard deviation is a measure of volatility Bollinger bands adjust themselves to current market conditions. When markets become more volatile markets widen and move further away. Enjoying less volatile periods the band’s contract moving closer together. The typing of the bands of news by technical traders as an indication there may be volatility to follow.
