How the Syrian Crisis is REALLY about Oil and Europe | REAL MATTERS

04:50
► Subscribe on YouTube : http://bit.ly/2uQHX6B ► Instagram : http://bit.ly/2uQIq8R Lets look at the oil and natural gas pipelines that run through the Middle East and Syria and why this conflict is really about Europe's addiction to oil in 2017. Remember to Like & Sub! Check out my new report. Why Erdogan is Nervous about The Kurds in Turkey : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wun4CR-DvwY&t=5s ________________ Syria itself is not a major energy producer in the region, however its importance lies as a potential transit hub from energy suppliers like Saudi Arabia, Iran and Iraq towards the thirsty energy markets of Europe. Notably proposed pipelines of major energy projects would pass through Syria , into Turkey and then enter the European grid. With the onset of the Civil war in Syria, the proposed pipeline projects have all been put on hold and their future is unclear. The most important aspect of this, is Europes need for energy diversity. Europe and Russia The EU’s energy thirst is estimated to be the second largest in the world after the United States. Notably, some 70- 80% of its energy requirements are satisfied by Russian gas and oil, piped in mostly through Ukraine. Disputes between Ukraine and Russia over energy first publicly surfaced in 2002 and culminated in 2009 when Russia cut supplies to Ukraine for short period of time, setting off panic in European capitals. This made the issue of Europes energy reliance on Russia more pressing. The subsequent Civil war in Ukraine is also deeply linked to this relationship. But this will be examined in a later video so please Subscribe with the button below if you want to hear more about that. European leaders came to the understanding that Europe needed a more diverse energy environment. Backed by the United States they sought to bring energy supplies, mainly from the energy rich Middle East into Europe. Syria’s position as a important transit route elevated the need for an agreement with the Syrian government that would bring supplies from the energy rich Gulf and Saudi Arabia into Europe, bypassing Russia . The Syrian Pipelines A Pipeline was proposed by Saudi Arabia and Qatar ,backed by the United States , which would use Syria as a transit route. The Pipelines would Saudi- Qatar pipeline would pass through Jodan - Syria and Turkey before entering Europe. The Syrian Government rejected the proposal. Syria's rationale for the rejection the Saudi-Qatari pipeline proposal was said to be "to protect the interests of [its] Russian ally, which is Europe's top supplier of natural gas." A competing Pipelines was also proposed dubbed The Iran-Iraq-Syria pipeline . A natural gas pipeline running from Iran towards Europe via Iraq, Syria and Lebanon to supply European customers as well as Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. The pipelines ran into numerous problems mostly from US pressure and its Swiss backers have since stopped its financing. The earliest proposed Pipeline intended to bypass Russia was the Nabucco Pipeline. Which aims to bring Caucasus and Iraqi oil through Turkey, the balkans and ending in Austria. This project is also supported by a number of EU member states and the United States. The project was later scrapped in favour of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline , which has now been almost completed and will start by bringing BP’s Azerbaijani Energy through Turkey - Greece- Albanian into Italy. The project is aimed to start supplying oil and gas by 2018 and the pipeline itself is in the final stages of competition. Once ready, this will be the first major means of energy diversification in Europe.

Aleppo - The Industrial Capital of Syria

29:43
Documentary about the theft and destruction of the industrial districts of Aleppo by Sinan Saeed and Tom Duggan with Fares Shehabi (MP for Aleppo). Terrorists within Syria have looted and destroyed many religious shrines, churches and mosques but the wholesale theft of Syrian natural resources and industrial plant are on a scale unimaginable. We’ve probably all read about Islamic State terrorists smuggling oil stolen from fields in northern Iraq and eastern Syria through Turkey and then on to Europe and Israel via the grubby hands of Bilal Erdoğan, the Turkish president’s son. Less well known is the fact that terrorists inside Syria have stolen entire factories, machine tools and even power stations – literally unscrewed from the factory floor, lifted onto flatbed trucks and driven north only to be re-erected in Turkish cities. According to independent journalist Thierry Meyssan, Erdoğan did not hesitate to use the war against Syria to make money for himself: First of all by dismantling and pillaging the factories of Aleppo, then by trafficking the oil and antiques stolen by the jihadists. Progressively, his entire clan became linked with the jihadists. For example, his Prime Minister, mafia gangster Binali Yıldırım, organised factories for the confection of counterfeit goods in the territories administrated by Daesh. “Some 1,000 factories in the city of Aleppo have been plundered, and their stolen goods transferred to Turkey with the full knowledge and facilitation of the Turkish government,” the Syrian Foreign Ministry said in letters to the United Nations. “It is an illegal act of aggression that amounts to piracy. It is an act of aggression against the Syrian people’s livelihood,” the ministry added.

Water Wars: Land snatched from Syria supplies third of Israel's H2O

Water is life, so they say, but rivalry over supplies can lead to bitter conflicts. You can see here that, since the mid-20th century, the planet's seen nearly 180 conflicts connected to water resources. These include both small and large-scale clashes - a lot of them in the Middle East and Africa. So, it might surprise you to hear that it's water - rather than oil - that could be what's fought over in the coming years in the region. Paula Slier reports now from Israel. Syria: Volunteers begin clearing rubble in Yarmouk refugee camp

03:26
Groups of volunteers were seen cleaning up the rubble in the Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp in south Damascus on Friday, which has been severely damaged during the seven-year conflict in Syria. Ongoing reconstruction works are supervised by the Syrian government. After the rubble is removed from the streets, authorities plan to start restoring electricity, water and other infrastructure. "The scale of destruction in Yarmouk Camp is huge, we can't estimate it. It includes the infrastructure, buildings, and massive destruction," said one of the volunteers. "We are working with the minimum resources the team has. We are working on the post-reconstruction period of Yarmouk Camp, [that includes] the restoration of life necessities of the camp, health centres and education," another volunteer said. The Yarmouk camp was once home to some 160,000 residents, including both Palestinian refugees and Syrians, but became the scene of intense fighting as the conflict in Syria kicked off, reducing most of the area to rubble. The area was overrun by so-called Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL) militants in 2015, who held the area until the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) retook the neighborhood in May 2018, defeating the last pocket of IS militants in the capital. ______________________________ SOT, Baraa Bishr, volunteer at Yarmouk camp (Arabic): "Good morning, I am Baraa Bishr from the Yarmouk Voluntarily Team. This morning we started cleaning al-Nadi al-Arabi, ever since about two months ago, we started cleaning the Yarmouk Camp entrance, which is connected to al-Madares street, along with cleaning Loobeih street up until the end of Safad street. We had cleaned some of the main streets like Ghazal and Heifa streets. The scale of destruction in Yarmouk Camp is huge, we can't estimate it, [that includes] the infrastructure, buildings, and massive destruction. The widest destruction was in Morales, it was [huge] in terms of frustration, rumours, and the loss of hope of the people who had no hope to return. Nevertheless, our initiative started with youth, elders, and even children, all hand in hand to restore hope in peoples' hearts and children hearts. We are reconstructing here in order to shorten the time as much as possible until when we'll be able to work together again." SOT, Aleen Zainab, volunteer at Yarmouk camp (Arabic): "Good morning, I am Aleen Zainab from the Yarmouk Voluntarily Team, the media committee of the Yarmouk Team. We are at the Arabic Clun in Palestine Camp. We are rehabilitating the infrastructures through cleaning up the camp. We started working since nearly two months. We are working with the minimum resources the team has. We are working on the post-reconstruction period of Yarmouk Camp, [that includes] the restoration of life necessities of the camp, health centres and education." ______________________________ Subscribe to our channel! rupt.ly/subscribe Video ID: 20181109-039 Video on Demand: http://www.ruptly.tv Contact: [email protected] Twitter: http://twitter.com/Ruptly Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/Ruptly

Sustaining Livelihoods and Land Resources in Olive Mountains-Syria.wmv

05:43
The project was launched land degradation problem in sloping olive orchards by applying cheap and easy-to-apply options to conserve the land. It also created awareness among farmers about soil and water conservation techniques, and provided cheap credit for land management purposes. Major part of the SGP fund was used to provide loans to individual households for sustainable land management. The loan was interest free, and the maximum repay period was one year. Every household of Khaltan was eligible to make proposal for a loan. For investments where more than 10 households achieved tangible benefits in terms of more sustainable land management, grants will be available. There should be a contribution of at least 20% of the total cost from all the involved households (in cash or in kind).

"Regime Wastes Our Resources In Syria & Neglects Iranians"-Anti Regime Protests In Isfahan, Iran

00:30
This is the 3rd day of widespread anti-regime protests across many cities in Iran, people are sick and tired of living under a theocratical dictatorship. The people believe that Iran has too many problems of its own to spending billions of dollars on our neighbouring countries, they want regime change so that serious issues that Iran currently has can be solved. Furthermore, Iranians are aware that the regime's involvement in countries such as Syria and Palestine exacerbates our problems and causes sanctions. Dissatisfaction with the regime has reached an all time high as living conditions are becoming unbearable for most people. Due to the regime's failed policies, most of which work against the interest of Iran and Iranians, the economy is collapsing and the currency value is in a free fall. The regime's policies are having a terrible effect on Iran's economy. Since the reelection of Rouhani last year, Iran's Rial has lost more than half of its value against other currencies, this uncertain currency market makes it almost impossible for business to survive as they need a reliable currency exchange rate. The regime's economy is collapsing due to its unwise and misguided policies. Iran's currency is in a free fall at the moment, it's worth around 35% of it what it was last year, people are suffering under immense pressures and they're protesting against Khamenei's brutal oppressive regime.Twitter: https://twitter.com/democraticiran3

How much Russia paid for operation in Syria

00:57
Vladimir Putin told how much money Russia had spent for operation in Syria. According to the President, it cost 33 billion roubles. As Putin said, “these are the resources of the Defence Ministry, that have been already included in the budget of the Ministry itself for the year 2015, aimed at the exercises conduct and combat training.” “The state has just redirected these resources to maintain the group in Syria,” the President said. According to Putin, “no one invented a more effective way of training, honing military skills than combat actions, and in this sense it's better to use, spend the fighting resource in action than on a training ground”. The Russian leader said that, now “extra expenditures will be needed connected with the replenishment of our arsenals, weaponry and equipment first of all to the specified parameters, as well as repair of equipment, which was used in Syria.” But, Putin believes that, “these expenditures are absolutely justified and essential.” Check more of our videos on our video channel http://www.youtube.com/user/PravdaTV Go to Pravda.Ru website to read articles that you can not read in Western publications http://english.pravda.ru/

The Truth About Pipeline Politics in the Syrian Proxy War

10:01
www.undergroundworldnews.com Oil politics in the Syrian civil war is a complex web of money deception and proxy war. What began as non-violent grassroots rebellion against Bashar al Assad and the Syrian state has morphed into a complex proxy war involving countless factions and alliances competing for control of oil, and territory. Various nation states and world powers who have their own financial interests in the region are supporting the armies on the ground. This is because of Syria’s strategic importance as a potential gatekeeper between oil reserves from the gulf and oil markets in Europe. There are two different proposed pipelines that will have to run through Syria in order for this to happen. One sponsored by the gulf states called the “Qatar-Turkey pipeline” and one sponsored by the Iranians and Syrians nicknamed the “Islamic pipeline”. Since the 1990s, Europe has been increasingly dependent on Russian natural gas and oil. In 2014 it was estimated that 42% of the European Union’s natural gas imports originated from Russia. This dependence has limited Europe’s ability to make a show of force against Russia. Last year the U.S introduced economic sanctions against Russia in retaliation for its annexation of Crimea. When the US asked the EU to participate, there was a heated debate amongst the European nations about how exactly to impose sanctions. Eastern Europeans felt especially threatened by Russia’s actions and wanted to enact the harshest penalties possible, however, Western Europeans were well aware that cutting off economic trade with Russia would destabilize their economies. As a result the European Union (EU) has desperately been looking for other sources of natural gas. The “pipeline” which will carry natural gas from Azerbaijan into Europe will help to offset dependence on Russian gas, but will take years to reach full capacity and will not rid Europe of Russian dependence altogether. On top of which European demand for natural gas is expected to rise dramatically in the next 30 years. There is only one known source of gas that can solve Europe’s long term energy needs and that’s source resides in the Middle East underneath the Persian Gulf. Journalist Emma Beals speaks about Syria's war

05:58
Three years ago, a peaceful protest in southern Syria triggered a conflict that's reduced much of the country to rubble and forced millions out of their homes. The conflict started in March 2011, when anti government protesters took to the streets in Deraa. Dozens were killed in what was the start of a brutal security crackdown. Now, three years on - with more than 140,000 lives lost and millions more displaced, there is still no sign of an end to the civil war. Emma Beals is an independent journalist who’s been reporting from Syria since December 2012. She speaks to Al Jazeera about some of the towns she recently visited which have become battlefields.

200 Russians Were Killed by US Airstrikes in Syria. Details, Recorded Radio Communications.

17:58
[UPDATE]: The bridge was destroyed not on January 9, but on February 6, i.e. just 1 day before the attack. Over 200 Russian military contractors were killed by US airstrikes in Syria on February 7, 2018. The contractors were members of the so-called Wagner Group private military company (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wagner_Group). Russian law officially bans mercenary service and private military companies, so in really the Wagner Group is just a unit of the Russian Ministry of Defence in disguise. Many of the Wagner contractors gained military experience in eastern Ukraine before departing to Syria. Khusham is an oil-rich area in Deir el-Zour province in north eastern Syria, which has been the major source of revenue for ISIS in 2014-2017. In September 2017, the area was liberated by U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). Although Assad is now controlling about 50% of the territory of Syria together with his allies Russia and Iran, he still needs resources to cover his expenses on war and to keep his regime alive. By some information, Assad proposed a deal to Putin – to keep 25% of all oil resources that Putin helps Assad to return back under his control. US, which wants to remove the tyrant Assad from power in Syria, obviously opposes that. Russian attack on SDF started at 10 pm on February 7, 2018. Initially, only one battalion tactical group participated in the attack, which included more than 10 tanks and 30 other armored vehicles. US forces responded to this attack with devastating strikes using high-precision weapons, probably including HIMARS rocket systems. The latter rocket systems destroyed Russian cover artillery batteries, while drones were used to help to guide fire. After Russian artillery and Russian-Syrian offensive operational groups were destroyed, subsequent strikes destroyed rearguard units, which basically eliminated the second battalion tactical group. Simultaneously with artillery strikes, electronic warfare system was operating, which completely suppressed radio communication with the offensive groups. The air space was most probably controlled by two pairs of F-22 Raptors, which monitored possible appearance of Russian aviation in this region. In 2 hours, 80% of all Russian and Assad forces were destroyed. Then, elimination of the remaining small groups began. Using Lockheed AC-130 and two pairs of attack helicopters covered by F-22’s, Americans wiped out the area from the remaining groups of enemy. The total losses of Russia and Assad constituted up to 90% of all military vehicles and 70-80% of manpower. Americans didn’t have any losses. The total duration of the operation was about 6 hours. Russian-Israeli Conflict in the Skies of Syria

06:07
This video shows you that Russian-Israeli Conflict in the Skies of Syria. Support Us: Power Bank: https://amzn.to/2M1HHqi Sony Headphone: https://amzn.to/2Qa0KlC Redmi 5: https://amzn.to/2wHzXUw The sudden ruffling of Israeli-Russian relations over the accidental shootdown by Syria of a Russian surveillance aircraft, k!lling fifteen crew members, is the sort of incident apt to happen when a modus vivendi joins parties with much different perspectives, one of them broad and the other narrow. Russian president Vladimir Putin has the broad perspective. His policies [email protected] both Syria and Israel are part of a strategy of making Russia an important player throughout the Middle East. It is a good realist strategy, worthy of emulation , in which Russia talks with everybody and does not allow any rigid division of the region into friends and foes to constrain its diplomacy. Putin has played his cards sk!llfully and has made his government a more broadly influential interlocutor in the Middle East than the United States despite having expended far fewer resources in the region than the United States has over the last couple of decades. Dealing with Israel has not compromised the Russian commitment to the Syrian regime of Bashar al-Assad or the reasons for that commitment. To the contrary, consultations with the Israelis have provided useful deconfliction of military operations and probably have prevented something like last week’s downing of the Russian plane from happening much sooner. Russia’s objectives are also served to the extent it can nudge Israel to focus on targets that have more to do with Iran and Hezbollah and less to do with the Syrian regime. The Israeli government of Benjamin Netanyahu—who has traveled to Moscow to confer with Putin three times so far this year—has the narrower perspective of seeking to throw its military weight around outside its borders with impunity. Its focus in Syria is on Iran and its Lebanese ally Hezbollah. Neither of those two players could hope to overcome Israel’s military superiority in the area, but for the Israeli government it is the impunity that matters as much as the ability to launch strikes. Its strikes in Syria over the past two years—now numbering at about two hundred—are exactly the kind of operation for which the Israelis do not want to have to worry much about costs and complications. Military deconfliction, given the extent of both Israeli and Russian military operations in Syria, thus has been as useful to Israel as it has been to Russia. Israel also has tried to do some of its own nudging, especially in getting the Russians to get the Iranians to keep their distance from the line of control along the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. Syria War MAP | Breaking News, 17th of August, 2018

07:37
Syria War MAP | Breaking News, 17th of August, 2018 Reporters of ANNA NEWS report from Syria with a reference to SANA agency: Damascus has developed a strategy to provide the country with energy resources until 2033. The restoration of energy supply will restart the economy, said the Minister of Local Self-Government of the Republic - Hussein Mahluyu. At the same time, he also noted the problems: the lack of qualified manpower, and anti-Syrian sanctions. The experts believe that the restrictive measures from the West can become a serious problem on Syrian's path to peace. Support from Russia and China could significantly accelerate the restart. As well as training of the Syrians abroad, political scientists believe. The Air Forces of Iraq carried out air strikes against ISIS positions in Syria, thus destroying terrorists that planned to make attacks on Iraqi territory, the Iraqi military reported. "According to the intelligence reports - the terrorists planned suicide operations, and they intended to attack the civilians in the coming days" - the Iraqi command stated. It was noted that the planes used bombs, and they destroyed the "HQ" of the terrorists. In the DPR, over the past day, Ukrainian troops violated the ceasefire 4 times, firing 14 shells at the front-line areas of the Republic. The settlements of Yasinovataya, Dokuchaevsk and Kominternovo in the south of the Republic were under attack. Mortars, grenade launchers and small arms were used during the shelling. Yesterday, a serviceman of the DPR died from a sniper fire that came from the Ukrainian troops. Ukraine sold engines for combat aircraft to China, which contradicts US interests, RIA NEWS reported while citing The Washington Times. According to the publication, the Ukrainian company Motor Sich sold 20 engines to twelve JL-10 combat training aircraft. The contract on 380 millions of dollars involves the supply of 250 aircraft engines in total. William Triplett, a former adviser to the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, said that Kiev backstabs the US Navy while using the money of American taxpayers. In his opinion - Washington should put pressure on Kiev in order to block the deal. Reporters of ANNA NEWS report from Syria: Russian military advisers continue to train the Syrian military personnel, including sappers. Various landmines and undetonated shells still lie in the ground after the fighting. Syria is an agrarian country, so one of the main tasks for the returning to the peaceful life is the ability and the possibility of demining the landmines. The engineering units of the Syrian Army, under the guidance of Russian military advisers, carry out mine clearance in the province of Homs. In August, 2 hectares of territory - 20 residential and household buildings and 1 kilometer of roads - were demined, 49 explosive objects were detected and destroyed. The crew of the oil tanker "Mechanic Pogodin", that is currently being detained in the Ukrainian seaport of the city of Kherson, prevented attempts of infiltration on the ship. This was stated by the ship's operator. Previously it became known that the crew members were afraid of capture of the tanker by Ukrainian border guards. The formal reason for the detention was the inclusion of the ship owner in the sanction list of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, but Kiev did not present any formal justifications yet.
