Have you ever wondered why you sweat when you get too hot from running or shiver on a cold winter's day in this video we are going to explain why your body behaves like this.  Humans are endotherms and this means we are warm blooded we keep our body operating at thirty seven degrees Celsius regardless of the external conditions however this is a real challenge as our environment changes all the time depending on the weather, our clothes, if we are inside by the fire or outside having a snowball fight. So how does this work? It's quite similar to the heating system in a house. in a house is a thermostat that measures the temperature if the house gets cold the thermostat will tell the radiators to turn on and heat it up if it's too hot they will be told to switch off simple.  Your body works in just the same way here in your brain as a special area called the hypothalamus and it measures the temperature of the blood flowing through it and also it collects information from temperatures senses around the body. it then decides if the temperature is too hot or too cold and we'll try and bring it back to thirty seven degrees Celsius. If you are too hot the hypothalamus can then send signals out to the body by the nervous system that can cause barriers to fact. It can send a signal to your skin and cool sweat glands to secrete the sweat on to the surface of the skin the sweat itself is not cold but it works because it takes the heat away from your body in order to evaporate it. Another way of losing is vasodilation let kind of these blood vessels narrows this. That said the skin open white and allow blood to flow through them. They heat is radiated from the blood into the air and the blood cools down. If you get too cold you can do the opposite with these blood vessels and place them on keeping the blood away from the surface of the skin this is called vasoconstriction this is when your muscles contract in order to make. Another fact you may have noticed when you are cold against them. If you look more place the at least the Bulls what you realized is that each of the little bugger has a has to hit out at.  These has stood up on and struck a layer of air around the skin air is a fantastic insulate of heat and this will keep you nice and warm. Regulation of Body Temperature and Fever | Human Physiology V-Learning Lecture

01:06:54
In this video lecture, educator defines the body temperature and types of temperature. Core and surface temperature have different values. There are certain heat insulators present in body. Thermoregulation allows your body to maintain its core temperature. Maintenance of body temperature is called heat balance. Heat is produced in body by different means. Shivering pathway has many inputs. Radiation, conduction, convention and evaporation are different means of heat loss in body. Hypothalamus is located below thalamus and performs many functions in the body. Hypothalamus plays many roles in thermoregulation including heat losing mechanisms and heat producing mechanisms. Body is too hot and cold due to temperature decreasing mechanisms. There are certain abnormalities in thermoregulation including pyrexia/fever, pyrogens, hyperthermia, heat stroke and exhaustion, malignant hyperthermia, hypothermia and frostbite. ------------------------------------------------------------- Watch complete lecture on sqadia.com: https://www.sqadia.com/programs/regulation-of-body-temperature-and-fever Lecture Duration: 01:06:53 Released: May 2017 Full List of Physiology Lectures: https://www.sqadia.com/categories/physiology ------------------------------------------------------------- Physiology is the study of normal function of human body. sqadia.com covers a range of topic from Cell physiology to Systems Physiology. Temperature Regulation of the Human Body/How our Bodies control Temperature

03:04
The hypothalamus is the processing centre in the brain that controls body temperature. It does this by triggering changes to effectors, such as sweat glands and muscles controlling body hair. Heat stroke can happen when the body becomes too hot; and hypothermia when the body becomes too cold. The temperature of the body is regulated by neural feedback mechanisms which operate primarily through the hypothalmus. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "How to keep body cool in summer naturally/6 smart way to beat the summer" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVIqXJxFOko -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

Regulation of Body Temperature

04:37
Regulation of body temperature In Hot Environment Heat loss to cool the body 1. Vaso-dilation – arterioles near surface of skin enlarge in diameter. 2. The larger volume of blood carried in the blood vessels will carry more heat, which lost through the skin. Sweating 1. This is a response made by the body to excessive heat in the surroundings. 2. Infections and strenuous can also increase your body temperature. 3. Evaporation of sweat cools the body. 4. The water in sweat evaporates from the surface of the skin. Heat is taken from the body to change liquid sweat to vapour, causing cooling. 5. Sweating itself does not cool the body. 6. It is the evaporation of sweat which has this effects. 7.When sweat cannot evaporate in badly ventilated rooms, or in humid air, great discomfort can be caused. 8. Fans can help by blowing the water vapour away from the skin surface. 9. This increase the rate of evaporation. http://femihealthytips.com/course/cxc-human-and-social-biology/

The external heat transfer mechanisms are radiation, conduction and convection and evaporation of perspiration. The process is far more than the passive operation of these heat transfer mechanisms, however. The body takes a very active role in temperature regulation. Even when inactive, an adult male must lose heat at a rate of about 90 watts as a result of his basal metabolism. Reduce Body Heat with Food and Drink | Reason For A High Body Temperature

06:11
Today we will talk about what could be the possible reason for a high body temperature? and how to rid from it immediately with Foods & drinks. Reasons for body heat, Wearing tight or artificial clothing may trap water and produce ineffective decrease in heat. Illnesses for example fever as well as infections. An increased activity on the thyroid which raises the metabolic activity by the body processes and causes production of excess heat. Strenuous workout or physical exercise. Medical conditions for example seizures and muscular disabilities. Certain drugs or stimulants for example amphetamines, cocaine and so on Neurological disorders can bring about excessive body heat even when sleeping. Others factors which will result in increasing body heat are psoriasis, systemic sclerosis, cystic fibrosis, and eczema. (as these diseases can affect the normal process of sweating). Excessive contact with the sun can also result in high body temperature. Now Lets talk About. How to remove heat from the body immediately and naturally with Foods & drinks. 1. Water is the best therapy : Cool water is the most effective and immediate way to minimize the heat. Increase in body temperature is majorly due to lack of hydration. Cool water keeps you rehydrated and helps lower the body temperature. Drink a large glass of ice cool water or take a shower in it, or just immerse your feet in cool water with some ice cubes to feel better. It will wash off excess heat and soothe your body. Regular splashes of water on your face can help reduce body heat in summer. 2. Lemon refreshes : Lemon consists of vitamin C and other antioxidants. that help the body remain hydrated during hot summers. A dash of lemon juice in cold water with sugar or honey is an effective way to beat the heat out of your body. Drink it 3-4 times a day to keep you refreshed and full of energy. 3. Coconut water : Tender coconut water contains important minerals like potassium and calcium and is full of vital nutrients. It balances the electrolyte levels in the body rehydrating it completely. Drinking tender coconut water each day can help maintain the proper osmotic level of body fluids and provide energy. Pregnant women are advised to keep themselves hydrated and coconut water is one of the best remedies to reduce body heat during pregnancy. 4. Mint : Mint has excellent cooling properties. It soothes the body and gets rid of heat efficiently. A cool peppermint bath with a concoction of mint leaves or mint essential oil added to cool water can prove beneficial in reducing body heat. Drink an ice cool mint tea 3-4 times a day whenever you feel increasing body heat to lower your temperature effectively. After long working hours a soothing head massage with mint oil is another good option to reduce body heat for men and women. 5. Watermelon : Watermelon is rich in nutrients and contains plenty of water. This perfect combination of essential elements not only hydrates the body giving proper nutrition but also detoxifies and clears off unwanted toxins from the body and reduces heat inside the body. Watermelon can be combined with other hydrating fruits and vegetables like muskmelon, strawberries and cucumber to make a salad or drink a cool refreshing watermelon drink to maintain body temperature levels. 6. Cardamom : In line with the ancient practice of Ayurveda, using cardamom is the best way to relieve body temperature naturally. You can add cardamom in your tea as well as add as a flavoring agent in sweets and savory dishes. 7. Peaches Excessive body heat affects skin and often ends in rashes in addition to skin soreness. Peaches are generally known for containing vitamins A new, B2 and potassium content, which are essential for maintaining healthy skin and body. Dried peaches also helps in regulating the amount of heat produced by the body. 8. Apricot. Drink a glass of apricot juice mixed with honey to cool the body temperature and quench the thirst. Since apricot is available in solid form, you need to extract juice out of it. Once the juice is extracted from the apricot, You can easily drink it without a second thought. Other foods to help reduce body heat include cucumbers, bananas, sugarcane liquid, barley, citrus fruit juices and organic teas for example mint & fennel green tea. Please consult your doctor in case your body temperature doesn’t normalize even after following these remedies. [ EXTRA TIPS ] Some Foods to Avoid : Stay away from hot and spicy food items. Avoid fatty and fried foods (junk/fast foods). Stay away from caffeine & alcohol. Follow a low sodium diet regime, Use Coconut or Olive herbal oil for cooking than using almond, sesame & corn oil. Do not use nuts in your daily diet as they are known in increasing the body temperature rapidly. Thermoregulation 5, Body temperature

16:01
Normal body temperature varies a little between individuals. Mine is normally about 36.4oC however, up to 37oC is considered normal. Occasionally individuals have temperatures, which are normal for them, of as low as 36oC to as high as 37.5oC. Individuals with persistently high body temperatures are uncommon; the vast majority of times you record a temperature of 37.5oC it will be an indication of an infection or tissue damage. If the environment is very cold then core temperature may start to drop. People are particularly prone to lowering body temperature if they are immobile or wet as well as cold. If the core temperature drops below 35oC this may be described as hypothermia. During physical exercise body temperature may rise to 38oC and vigorous exercise may elevate this as high as 40oC. However, these rises soon trigger cooling responses from such mechanisms as sweating. Whenever total heat gain exceeds heat loss body temperature will start to rise. This can occur in very hot environments or when cooling mechanisms are unable to function. Wearing a lot of clothes prevents heat loss to the environment and reduces evaporation of sweat. For example, soldiers have become hyperthermic while exercising in full kit on hot days. Like hypothermia, hyperthermia is a life threatening condition and must be corrected as a matter of urgency.

Temperature Regulation of the Human Body | Biology | Hindi

03:06
hello everyone..इस video tutorial में हम temperature regulation पे बात करने वाले हैं. क्या आपने कभी सोचा है कि कपकपाती ठंढ में दौड़ने पे आपको बहुत ज्यादा पसीना क्यों आता है..या फिर आपको बहुत ज्यादा गर्मी क्यों लगती है??? नहीं पता?? कोई बात नहीं..इस video tutorial में हम इसी पे बात करने वाले हैं! . हमारी body endothermic यानी उश्मषोशी होती है. दूसरे शब्दों में हम कह सकते हैं कि हम इंसान गर्म खून वाले होते हैं.. बाहरी परिस्थिति चाहे जैसी हो लेकिन हमारा शरीर 37 degree celcius temperature पे काम करने के लिए बना है. हालाँकि ये हमारे लिए एक challenge है क्योकि हमारा environment मौसम के हिसाब से बदलता रहता है! वास्तव में हमारा शरीर किसी घर में लगे हुए heating system की तरह काम करता है.. अगर आपके घर में heating system लगा है तो आपने temperature को measure करने के लिए thermostat भी लगवा रक्खा होगा!!!!! अगर घर का temperature कम होने लगता है तो thermostat radiators को on करने के लिए एक signal भेजता है..जिससे घर का temperature फिर से बढ़ने लगता है. और अगर घर का temperature ज्यादा होता है तो radiators thermostat के जरिये बंद करवा दिए जाते हैं. simple!!! है ना????? हमारा शरीर भी ठीक इसी तरह काम करता है.आपके brain में यहाँ पे hypothalamus नाम की एक खास जगह होती है. ये इसमें से flow होने वाले blood का temperature तो measure करता ही है साथ ही ये body के temperature sensors के जरिये information भी इकट्ठी करता है. इकट्ठी की गई information के आधार पे hypothalamus decide करता है कि आपकी body का temperature कम है या ज्यादा!!! और फिर उसी के मुताबिक वो body के temperature को वापस 37 degree celcius पे लाने की कोशिश करता है. All information is taken from our Metabolic Blueprint Program http://www.themetabolicblueprint.com "Since living cells are the fundamental units of all life, the basic science underlying human health and disease is the science explaining how living cells function. This basic science is cell physiology." - Dr. Gilbert Ling With all the Ray Peat information going around on the web, there is one common theme based on my experience that I keep on seeing. Everyone is taking the body temperature, posting it on facebook, etc...without including their PULSE! You CANNOT get a true reading of your metabolism without both. Taking body temperature and pulse allow you to: To assess hormonal influences of metabolism To identify subclinical hypothyroidism To identify adrenal and blood sugar influences on metabolism To assess adrenaline, cortisol, estrogen, serotonin, CO2, T3, progesterone, etc role in relation to the adrenals, liver and thyroid Ray Peat PhD: But hypoglycemia also tends to decrease the conversion of T4 to T3, so heat production often decreases when a person is hungry. First, their fingers, toes, and nose will get cold, because adrenalin, or adrenergic sympathetic nervous activity, will increase to keep the brain and heart at a normal temperature, by reducing circulation to the skin and extremities. Despite the temperature-regulating effect of adrenalin, the reduced heat production resulting from decreased T3 will make a person susceptible to hypothermia if the environment is cool. ================================================================================================================ Body Temperature and PULSE! http://youtu.be/sBSwhfhPp1k Check out our last video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyJ8K6scWM4
