How To Open BIOS Settings On Windows (For Different Laptops/PC Models)

09:15
In this tutorial, I will be demonstrating different ways to open up the BIOS settings of your computer depending on the brand and model of computer you’re working with. I will demonstrate this on few laptops, so certainly this doesn’t cover every single computer out there. But I found this collection to be a good sample space to work with. I also showed a simple trick to use if for some reason your computer boots too fast that it doesn’t give you enough time to press the required function key or combination of keys in order to get into your BIOS settings. Below are the laptops used in this tutorial: 1. Dell Vostro 3550, simply press the power button, and after the initial logo screen, quickly press F2 to get to set-up. 2. HP EliteBook 8460p, press the power button, then press escape key for set up menu. From there press the F10 key to get into BIOS setup. 3. For older Lenovo Thinkpad series, press the ThinkVantage button, after the power button, then follow with F1 to take you to your BIOS setup page. 4. Asus G75V, press the power button and then the escape key, it will shows this list of options, here I will use the down arrow to select the setup option and then hit enter to open it up. 5. Toshiba Satellite, simply press the power button and then follow up with F2 to open up the BIOS settings page. 6. Samsung, power button followed by the F2 key. I also showed a series of other laptop brands and the possible keys or combination of keys you need to go into your BIOS settings. - Acer - Asus - Dell - Toshiba - eMachines - Fujitsu - Hp - Lenovo - Samsung For situations where you’re pressing the right key and yet unable to get into your BIOS, the simple trick to get to your BIOS is to press and hold down the required key or the initial key to get into your BIOS and then press the power button while holding it down. Keep holding it down till you get the beep or till you see you BIOS page. How to Enable Intel VT-X or Intel Virtualization Technology from BIOS

02:55
Play YouTube Videos in Background on Phone Watch here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADeYG0yjV40 Enable intel VT-X or intel virtualization technology from BIOS in few steps. While installing Virtual Machine on new computer you may get an error like - This virtual machine is configured for 64-bit guest operating systems. However, 64-bit operation is not possible. This host supports Intel VT-x, but Intel VT-x is disabled. Intel VT-x might be disabled if it has been disabled in the BIOS/firmware settings or the host has not been powered cycle since changing this setting. In such case, you have to enable intel virtualization technology from BIOS in order to install a virtual machine. Since I have Asus Z170 Pro Gaming motherboard I will show you on this interface. Steps to enable Intel VT-x on Asus Motherboards 1. First, reboot your computer and press the relevant key in order to enter into BIOS. 2. Into BIOS, click on Advanced mode. 3.Click on Advanced option. 4. Find and click on CPU configuration, if you have other MOBO then find CPU configuration anyhow. 5. Scroll down and find intel virtualization technology. 6. Hit enter and select enabled from the drop-down menu. 7. Save the settings before you exit. Now, try to install the virtual machine and you will be able to install any windows on VM Ware Player. Must Check 10 Best Laptops under $500 - http://amzn.to/2t5A8pE

How to Fix BIOS Can't Save Settings

03:43
BIOS cant save settings, how to fix it. Characteristic this problem is every time turn on computer, show message; CMOS settings wrong, CMOS Date/Time not set, Press F1 to run SETUP. How to fix this problem Solution No.1 BIOS cant save settings, caused by CMOS battery power runs out. With Avometer, you can check CMOS battery. Solution; replace CMOS battery with new one. Solution No.2 BIOS cant save configurations, cause by on-board peripherals not function / broken. Motherboard has few on-board peripherals, ex; PS2, LAN on-board, VGA on-board, sound on-board, USB slot, PCI slot, AGP slot, etc. How to identify on-board peripherals not function...? To identify this problem, example; USB slot not function (front USB and back USB). USB not function caused by two possible; driver corrupt and USB slot broken. Make sure, your driver no problem. If you sure, no problem with driver, and USB still not function, and every time turn on computer, press F1 to run setup (BIOS cant save settings), the conclusion is; BIOS cant save settings caused USB on-board broken. Solution for this problem is disable USB function on BIOS, then insert USB card on PCI slot. Note; some motherboard have USB jumper, you can try move jumper from 1-2, to 2-3. After jumper move (wait about 10 seconds), move back jumper to normal / 1-2. If USB still not function, the conclusion is USB broken. In many case have I meet, BIOS cant save configurations if; PS2 broken, LAN card broken, USB slot broken, soundcard broken, PCI slot broken, AGP slot broken, SATA error (some bord have four SATA slot, example; one of them broken, disable broken SATA), FAN detect error, floopy error, IDE error. Solution No.3 Clear CMOS. You can try this solution. How to clear CMOS. Turn off computer, unplug power cable. Found CMOS jumper on motherboard. Normal jumper position = 1-2. Move jumper to 2-3, wait 10 seconds. After that, return jumper to 1-2. (Picture) If solution No.3 fail, try solution No.1 or No.2 Solution No.4 Update BIOS. Be careful to update BIOS. How to update BIOS...? Open site motherboard manufacture, support and download, select your motherboard type, download BIOS update file, for your motherboard type. Before update BIOS, read guidance how to do that. If BIOS update file doesn't exist, used solution No,1, 2, 3. Source; goo.gl/2x7WcX

How To Change Boot Order In Computer BIOS [For Beginners]

02:54
This tutorial demonstrates how to launch the built-in BIOS utility to change the boot order of your devices on your computer. If you are looking to set the primary boot device to a usb flash drive/stick or CD/DVD follow these steps. If you ever want to change these settings back, you can do so following the keyboard shortcuts located in the BIOS. Remember to always save your changes before closing out of the utility. To boot from a CD, DVD or USB device, make sure that the device has boot sequence priority over the hard drive. BIOS (Basic Input Output Subsystem) is a programmable chip that controls how information is passed to various devices in the computer system. A typical method to access the BIOS settings screen is to press ESC, F1, F2, F8 or F10 during the boot sequence. BIOS settings allow you to run a boot sequence from a floppy drive, a hard drive, a CD-ROM drive or an external device. You may configure the order that your computer searches these physical devices for the boot sequence. The first device in the order list has the first boot priority. For example, to boot from a CD-ROM drive instead of a hard drive, place the CD-ROM drive ahead of the hard drive in priority. Before you set boot priority for a USB device, plug the device into a USB port. To specify the boot sequence: 1. Start the computer and press ESC, F1, F2, F8 or F10 during the initial startup screen. Depending on the BIOS manufacturer, a menu may appear. 2. Choose to enter BIOS setup. The BIOS setup utility page appears. 3. Use the arrow keys to select the BOOT tab. System devices appear in order of priority. 4. To give a CD or DVD drive boot sequence priority over the hard drive, move it to the first position in the list. 5. To give a USB device boot sequence priority over the hard drive, do the following: Move the hard drive device to the top of the boot sequence list. Expand the hard drive device to display all hard drives. Move the USB device to the top of the list of hard drives. Save and exit the BIOS setup utility. 6. The computer will restart with the changed settings. 7. Boot Priority Options Some computer manufacturers allow you to select the device that contains the boot sequence from a special device selection menu. The example below uses a Dell system board. To set boot priority using a device selection menu: 1.When the computer starts to boot up, after the manufacturer's ID screen, press F12 several times. The device selection menu appears. 2. Use the up and down arrows to select CD-ROM or an USB Flash Drive. 3. To boot from the selected device, press ENTER. Note: Using an incorrect BIOS setting can cause a system malfunction. Please follow the BIOS guide provided with your computer motherboard. If you read these instructions and you are not sure how to change a setting, it is better to leave it as the default setting. This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7 operating systems.Works for all major computer manufactures (Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Samsung).

Fix Error Automatically Enter BIOS When Turn on Laptop

06:56
When the laptop is turned on always enter the BIOS automatically. This problem occurs because it found damage to the keyboard. Check out the video tutorials, how to solve this problem. 00:04 Problem Description When the laptop is turned on always enter the BIOS automatically. 00:17 Cause of Error This error is caused by a broken keyboard. When turning on the laptop, to enter BIOS, press F1/F2/Esc/Delete button. Example; To enter BIOS settings for Acer laptop, press F2 button. For some reason, the F2 button is damaged (always in a depressed position), so when turning on the laptop, automatically enters the BIOS, because the F2 button is pressed, but you don't press the F2 button. So this error occurs because it found damage to the keys used to enter the BIOS, such as the F1/F2/Esc/Delete button. 01:00 Solution No.1 Turn off the laptop, remove the battery, then release the keyboard keys used to enter the BIOS. Once the button is released, clean it with a brush. Once clean, install battery, then turn on the laptop to see the results. 02:11 Solution No.2 Remove the rubber button (be careful). Don't remove the rubber button as a whole, leave the rubber parts still attached. Clean it with a brush. Once clean, install battery, then turn on the laptop to see the results. 04:20 Additional information When this problem occurs, the BIOS settings will return to the defaut position. Sample case; You make changes to the BIOS settings, continue to install the OS, then there is error like this, and the BIOS settings go back to the Default Settings. Example; By default "OS selection" settings is UEFI OS. Then you make a change it to Legacy OS, and then you continue to install the OS. One day, when you turn on the laptop, suddenly there is a problem like this. When the laptop is turned on, automatically enters the BIOS. In this condition, the BIOS settings go back to the defaut position (OS selection settings is UEFI OS). After you fix the keyboard button, when the OS loading process, suddenly appears "Blue Screen of Death". BSOD occurs because there is an incompatibility between, the BIOS settings and the installed OS. Solutions; Enter the BIOS settings, open the "OS selection" setting. From UEFI OS change it to Legacy OS, save BIOS settings, then restart.
