The Difference Between Trading Spot Forex vs Forex Futures http://www.financial-spread-betting.com/forex/forex-trading.html PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS VIDEO SO WE CAN DO MORE! Let's look at the positives and negatives of trading spot fx vs currency futures. Spot FX vs Currency Futures. You're trading currencies; you might have heard of currency futures. We know we have the majors - yes we have the USD but in addition to that we have the EURO, Yen, Pound, Australian dollar, Canadian dollar and the Swiss Franc. The major pairs would include EUR/USD, USD/JPY, GBP/USD, USD/CAD, USD/CHF, AUD/USD..etc Futures vs Spot Currency Trading The other way of trading currencies is via futures. The Chicago Board of Exchange has futures on currencies. A futures contract isn't a spot price. It is a contract that is dated at some point in the future and is a contract between a buyer and a seller. Most people use futures as a speculative activity. Let's look at the positives and negatives of trading spot fx vs currency futures. One big difference is that futures are fully regulated and trading takes place on a central exchange. Spot isn't the case...banks dealing with each other.

For example, if you wish to purchase Company XYZ shares and own them immediately, you would go to the cash market on which the shares are traded (the New York Stock Exchange, for example). If you wanted to buy gold on the spot market, you could go to a coin dealer and exchange cash for gold. The foreign exchange (FOREX) market is one of the largest spot markets in the world. People and companies all over the world are constantly exchanging one currency for another as transactions occur all over the globe. What is a Spot Market? How Do Spot Markets Work?

FX Spot Trade Video Bloomberg

Forex Market The Foreign Exchange Market (Forex, FX) is the arena in which a nation's currency is exchanged for that of another at a mutually agreed rate. It was created in the 1970's and is now considered to be the largest financial market in the world because of its huge turnover. According to the Bank for International Settlements, the average daily turnover in global foreign exchange markets is estimated to be $4 Trillion. It is very lucrative and efficient in which people in all walks of life can actually participate. However, FOREX has been overlooked for years since people thought that only rich people can participate in this market. Here are some reason why FOREX is suitable for all: 1. Since internet and worldwide web has began, business evolved from offline to online. Market coverage abruptly expanded with just one click. With that, it is possible to transact any currencies worldwide by just using internet. People around the globe can monitor live market trends. 2. You can actually trade without a big capital which means that it isn't necessary that you have a big amount to jumpstart forex trading. 3. FOREX is never complicated. It is just based on a simple DEMAND and SUPPLY principle. Buy at lower price, Sell at the speculated high price. So simple. 4. Some say you need to be smart enough to trade in FOREX, that's a fallacy! Being so smart sometimes cannot help, it will just make you complicate a simple system and creates analysis paralysis. 5. Some say you need to be a graduate of some Financial-related courses -again this is a fallacy! In fact, in US and Europe, there are many forex traders who are just KIDS. You can study online, there are many videos and tutorial lessons online and you can practice for yourself in DEMO trading accounts. 6. FOREX is a simple BUY and SELL business. However, the difference is that, you need not to do some 'salestalk', there are brokers who will do that for you, all you need to do is to set the right entry in BUYING and SELLING and you will just wait for your profit. It's as simple as that! 7. The only capital in this business is yourself. The more patient and disciplined you are, the better will be your performance. It's more con self improvement and conquering oneself. ;) I am willing to be your partner in building your FOREX trading career and I will be very happy to tell you more about this industry. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. Seek education and gain experience before risking real money, but please always remember, your past performance does not guarantee future results. What Is Forex? The foreign exchange market (or "forex" for short) is the biggest financial market in the world, with over $4 trillion worth of transactions occurring every day. Simply, forex is the market in which currencies, or money, are traded in the interbanking system. Forex Tutorial: What is Forex Trading? By Investopedia Staff What Is Forex? The foreign exchange market is the "place" where currencies are traded. Currencies are important to most people around the world, whether they realize it or not, because currencies need to be exchanged in order to conduct foreign trade and business. If you are living in the U.S. and want to buy cheese from France, either you or the company that you buy the cheese from has to pay the French for the cheese in euros (EUR). This means that the U.S. importer would have to exchange the equivalent value of U.S. dollars (USD) into euros. The same goes for traveling. A French tourist in Egypt can't pay in euros to see the pyramids because it's not the locally accepted currency. As such, the tourist has to exchange the euros for the local currency, in this case the Egyptian pound, at the current exchange rate. What is the spot market? More specifically, the spot market is where currencies are bought and sold according to the current price. That price, determined by supply and demand, is a reflection of many things, including current interest rates, economic performance, sentiment towards ongoing political situations (both locally and internationally), as well as the perception of the future performance of one currency against another. When a deal is finalized, this is known as a "spot deal". It is a bilateral transaction by which one party delivers an agreed-upon currency amount to the counter party and receives a specified amount of another currency at the agreed-upon exchange rate value. After a position is closed, the settlement is in cash. Although the spot market is commonly known as one that deals with transactions in the present (rather than the future), these trades actually take two days for settlement. Note that you'll see the terms: FX, forex, foreign-exchange market and currency market. These terms are synonymous and all refer to the forex market.
