What is a Short Squeeze and How Can You Profit From It?

06:42
What is a Short Squeeze and How Can You Profit From It? ★ SUMMARY ★ You may have heard of the term "short squeeze" in the past - but didn't know what it meant. I'm here to tell you what it is and how you can capitalize and profit from a short squeeze. What is a short squeeze? There are two players in the market. There are the "longs" and the "shorts" which are equivalent to buyers and sellers. Buyers are looking for the stock to head higher while Sellers are looking for the stock to head lower. Sellers typical are borrowing shares from their brokers - then will look for the stock to head lower - they'll purchase it back at a lower price and pocket the difference. These are called "short sellers." Trading the Cup and Handle - Stock Chart Pattern

03:46
Cup and Handle Pattern: -It is a continuation pattern. -Discovered in 1988 by William O'Neil. I recommend his book How to Make Money in Stocks. -You need a previous trend in order to have a continuation pattern. -When the pattern trickles down the "handle" the volume will be slowly declining. -Once it breaks the "handle," the volume needs to be very high. -Remember that the "cup" of the pattern needs to be a "U" shape and not a "V" shape. A "V" shape is likely to be a Double Bottom or a Double Top. -The "cup" is gradual, it is about a 1/3 retracement from the previous uptrend, and goes back down to re-calibrate itself. -You want to enter or add to your position when it breaks the "handle." ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. Trading the Ascending Triangle Stock Chart Pattern

02:31
The Ascending Triangle: -It resembles accumulation. -It is a bullish pattern. -It doesn't have to happen on an uptrend, but it is very helpful when it does. -The top of the triangle is fairly straight and the bottom of the triangle is ascending. The stock ascends and descends between these two lines of the triangle. -As the stock inclines, the volume declines because accumulation is taking place. -You want the volume to increase when it breaks, but the volume won't always increase on the breakout. -Time-frame: a few weeks to a few months. The time-frame is less relevant than with the Cup and Handle Pattern. ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. Trading the Triple Top Stock Chart Pattern - Technical Analysis

03:02
Triple Top Pattern: -A reversal pattern. -It forms from a previous uptrend. -You need to be aware that this pattern has the potential to be multiple patterns, and you cannot be sure that it is a triple top until it hits the third point on the resistance line. -Once it breaks under the support line you can enter the trade to the downside or sell it short. -The volume will spike once it breaks the support line. -Remember that this pattern happens over a timeframe of 3-6 months. -Be neutral until it breaks because it could be a sideways pattern. ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. Stock Trading Chart Patterns: Double Bottom

03:21
The double bottom reversal pattern is similar to the double top reversal pattern, but it goes in the opposite direction. What Is the Double Bottom Reversal Pattern? -It's a reversal pattern or bullish pattern -Begins with a downward pattern and typically ends with an upward pattern -There can be double tops or triple tops between the double bottom -Double bottoms take longer to develop than double tops -Even if there is a double top between the double bottom, it is more important that there is a double bottom because it spans a longer period of time than the double top How to Trade a Double Bottom Reversal Pattern -Enter the stock somewhere off the second bottom -Ideally, you should enter it after it crosses the resistance line (from the two tops that occurred earlier) ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. Understanding Long and Short Terms in Stock Market Trading

03:58
These terms are more efficient than terms like "buy" and "sell" because they tell your position--your mindset on a particular stock or on the industry. Long: -Positive on the market -You can also be "long" on a particular stock: If you are long Nike, you're expecting it to go up Short: -Negative on the market -You can also be "short" on a particular stock: If you are short Nike, you're expecting it to go down -Selling with the intention to buy the shares back at a lower price Benefits of using "Long"/"Short" vs. "Buy"/"Sell": -If you have 1,000 shares of Nike and you tell someone you sold 500 shares, they could assume you think Nike is going to go down even though you are still positive 500 shares. -If you think a certain stock will go down and you decide to sell all 1,000 shares and later purchase 300 shares, and you tell someone that you bought the 300 shares, it is not clear that you are still negative 700 shares. They may not understand that you think Nike will go down. -"Long" and "short" remove the ambiguity associated with the terms "buy" and "sell." ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. What is a Stock Split and Why Do Stocks Split?

03:15
Stock Splits Simplified: -# of shares before split = 100 at $50/share -Split = 2/1 -# of shares after split = 200 at $25/share -In order to own the same portion of the company, the stock price goes down to $25/share -100 shares at $50/share = 200 shares at $25/share -The value is the same, only the share price changes -Splits can come in different denominations (e.g. 2/1, 3/1, 5/1, 3/2, etc) Why do Companies Do This? -To allow new investors to come in at a lower stock price -To re-balance their shares ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. What is "Beta" [Stock Market Terms] + How to Use it for Trading Decisions

07:27
What is "Beta" [Stock Market Terms] + How to Use it for Trading Decisions ★ SUMMARY ★ In this week's episode what I'd like to do with you share with you What is Beta and How Can You Use Beta on the Stock Market Tables to make trading decisions or investing decisions for your personal portfolio. Knowing what Beta is First off before we even get into what is Beta more important question is why would you want to know this why? Why would you want to know what it's all about? Well the thing is, what beta really tells you, is it tells you the volatility of a certain stock or security. How big of those movement, how big not a direction but that how large those movements can be for a stock or security relative to a neutral level. What does all this mean in layman's terms or in simple terms? Applying Beta to your stock picks It means that if you're looking for a stable company, if you’re for looking for a stock that does not whipsaw around a lot, if you're looking for a stock that moves in a nice line fashion then you want a smaller beta. If you want a stock that moves around a lot quicker and has a higher potential to make you more money or has a higher potential to go to the upside quicker or go to the downside quicker, typically great for day trading as well, then you want a higher beta. An in-depth understanding of Beta in the stock market Let's look at beta in more in-depth. Basically, the stock market itself, the market itself has a beta of 1 so if we have the market as a beta of 1, this is how it moves. So let's just pretend that this angle in this volatility is one. Stocks that have a higher volatility will have a higher beta so they may have a beta of something like let's just say one point three and if you have a beta of 1.3, this means typically your 30% more volatile than the market. So that volatility maybe something more like this so that stock has a greater volatility as it's going up or down. Now for looking for lower betas, companies like Microsoft or proctor and Gamble, if you're looking for a beta of let's say 0.8, this would be 0.8%, that volatility might be something like this, it might be very small and it moves very slow. It very slow to the upside or the downside, so you’re little bit more stable and that's why when things are in a panic they sell off very big, people jump to the lower beta stocks, they jump to the ones that have more stability. On the other hand when things are going great they’ll jump into the higher beta names because that is what they want, they want a huge run to the upside they want the fastest stocks that are moving the quickest in the shortest amount of time. Basics of the Bid, the Ask, and the Bid-Ask Spread in Stock Trading

02:43
If you want to purchase shares right away, you are going to have to pay the asking price. Similarly, if you want to sell shares right away, you have to pay the bidding price. Bid: -What people are looking to get the order at -If you want to purchase 100 shares of Nike, you might bid $50.90, but the ask is $50.98 -In order to get that order, you need to pay $50.98 Ask -What people are looking to get for the stock Bid-Ask Spread -It is the difference between the bid and the ask -What the market makers have to make -i.e. $50.98-$50.90 = $0.08 -$0.08 is what the market makers get paid to execute that order -As soon as you purchase the stock you lose $0.08 per share -You can't buy and sell immediately because it will be costly -You need to take the bid-ask spread into account when trading ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. Understanding Calls and Puts

04:25
Call v. Put Call: -Allows you to buy stock -If you have one call that means you are able to buy that stock at your set price -It has to reach the set price on or before your contract's expiration -If it doesn't reach the set price, your contract deteriorates in value and you lose your option premium -You buy it in hopes of stock going up -As the stock price goes up, the call increases in value -Similar to going long within stocks Put: -Allows you to sell stock (it gives you the right, but not the obligation) -For example: you own 100 shares of Microsoft at $25 and you own a put of Microsoft at $20 -If the stock declines to $10/share and you have the put for that year, you can put somebody the stock at the $20 range -You buy it in hopes of stock going down -As the stock price goes down, the put increases in value -You are hoping to sell the contract later at higher value -Similar to short-selling Continue to learn with me at: http://tradersfly.com/ Check out my courses at : http://rise2learn.com Facebook Fan Page: http://www.facebook.com/tradersfly/ Get My Charts on Twitter: https://twitter.com/tradersfly/
Buying Stocks Bouncing off Support vs. Breaking Resistance

03:35
Two Ways to Purchase Stock BUYING AT SUPPORT You can purchase when the stock bounces off the support and is heading in an upward direction. Support buying is typically healthier than resistance buying in terms of risk management. BUYING AT RESISTANCE You can purchase as the stock clears the resistance area. Buying at resistance is riskier than buying at support because once the stock clears the resistance it will bounce off the new resistance line, but may dip back to prior levels if it isn't strong enough to continue upward. You also do not want to purchase as the stock is descending because it may just continue to descend. ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. Understanding Gaps: Common, Breakaway, Runaway, and Exhaustion Gap

09:08
What Is a Gap? -When a stock ends the day at a certain level and then starts at a new level even though no trades took place. -Gaps are usually from one day to the next. -The reason is that something within the company or industry can change: earnings report, etc. -Weekly charts can also have gaps, but that usually happens over the weekend and it isn't as common. 4 Types of Gaps: 1. Common: Likely caused by low trading volume. It will usually be filled (prices slowly revert to that gap). 2. Breakaway -More meaningful than common gaps -They can happen in the middle of the trading day -They have a downward momentum -Suddenly the stock dips down below the support line. The gap is between the support line and the dip down. This is due to a change in psychology, and people start to sell their shares. -Make sure you see an increase in volume at the gap point. That is confirmation of the downward move. -Another way to be sure that the breakaway gap is a healthy gap is if it happens with another pattern (e.g. a descending triangle pattern). 3. Runaway -Similar to the breakaway gap -Instead of going to the down side it is going to the up side -It is basically a stock price jumping up to a new level (typically due to product releases, news events, etc) -Anything that creates positive sentiment creates a runaway gap -There are three possibilities it can go through: 1. Downard trend and back up, hops and continues to go up 2. Upward incline, gap to incline 3. Downward trend to a slingshot upward -Runaway gaps are more powerful when they come out of an ascending triangle or trend line. 4. Exhaustion -Very good to trade with, if you watch them -They can be dangerous if you are new to the stock market or are not spotting them correctly -They happen when a stock shoots up, jumps and continues to trend up, but will eventually decline -This can happen with a decline as well (declines, jumps down, continues to decline and then shoots up) -You want to be cautious with these gaps because they typically happen in a state of panic Continue to learn with me at: http://tradersfly.com/ Check out my courses at : http://rise2learn.com Facebook Fan Page: http://www.facebook.com/tradersfly/ Get My Charts on Twitter: https://twitter.com/tradersfly/
Technical Analysis: Support and Resistance on Stock Charts

08:39
Support and Resistance are the building blocks needed in order to read chart patterns properly and to trade effectively. Support: -A psychological level where people believe the demand is strong enough to hold the stock price up -This is similar to a price floor, but it isn't government controlled -A healthy support line hits multiple points at the same level Resistance: -It is the opposite of support -A psychological level where the sellers are putting the stock down -When a stock hits the resistance line, buyers no longer want it because the price is too high, and sellers step in -The more times a stock hits the resistance line, the stronger it is becoming Support and Resistance are the Same: -Support is actually resistance and vice versa -They both equal one another -i.e. once the stock breaks through the resistance level, the resistance line becomes the support line -Resistance lines continue to become support lines as the stock continues to go up -The same is true on the downward level; support lines become resistance lines as the stock goes down -The more trading that is done in a certain level, the stronger that level becomes Additional Notes: -Support and resistance do not have to be horizontal -They can be elevated at different angles and still be support and resistance lines -If the support or resistance is broken that means the perception of the stock has changed -When stocks tank, people are selling their shares and they want less of that stock -If stocks have a lot of resistance and break through the resistance line, there is a high demand for the stock (new product, positive news, etc) ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. Stock Market Charts: Head and Shoulders Pattern

04:41
What is the Head and Shoulders Reversal Pattern? -The stock bounces off of the support line three times, making a head and shoulders pattern -On the first shoulder, the volume is high -The volume is lower on the uptrend that creates the head -People are not voting for the stock to go up. This low volume creates the head -Important to understand: If the stock bounces and hits the support line again (after the last shoulder), the line becomes a resistance line. You want to make sure it doesn't bounce down again because that would mean the stock is going below the resistance line. -A three month pattern is healthier than a two day chart pattern How to Trade On the Pattern: -Typically, people wait to trade until the stock breaks the neck line region and they trade on the down side (if there is enough volume) Continue to learn with me at: http://tradersfly.com/ Check out my courses at : http://rise2learn.com Facebook Fan Page: http://www.facebook.com/tradersfly/ Get My Charts on Twitter: https://twitter.com/tradersfly/
Swing vs. Day Trading - Which is Better?

06:48
Swing vs. Day Trading - Which is Better? ★ SUMMARY ★ You can compare day traders and swing traders to the Ninja Turtles – always fighting the Foot Clan. They are always battling each other, but which one is better? Let's break down the differences between day traders and swing traders, so you can decide which style of trading is better for you... Holding Time The holding time for a day trader is less than 6.5 hours, because there is less than 6.5 hours in a trading day. You can possibly hold stock for 7 hours if you trade premarket or aftermarket, but typically you'll hold less than 6.5 hours. The holding time for a swing trader, on the other hand, is anywhere from 2 days to 2 months. It's typically longer than one day. What is the difference between a limit and market order?

06:22
What is the difference between a limit and market order? ★ SUMMARY ★ Market order Think of a market order as paying the market price when buying or really selling a stock, meaning you would pay whatever price is necessary to get your shares. Limit order When it comes to a limit order, you get to specify the price you want to pay for the stock. You get favorable pricing, but you may not get filled with your order if your price is not met. When should you use market order or limit order? When do you use one of the other? Well, market order is great if you need to get into a stock right away, really fast, typically day trading, and you’re trading liquid stocks. Trading the Triple Bottom - Stock Chart Pattern

03:38
Triple Bottom Reversal Pattern: -Important: This pattern should be treated as a neutral pattern until it reaches the third bottom point. Before that moment it could form as other patterns such as a double top, a declining wedge, etc. -If it breaks past the resistance line that is when the trade should be entered. -If it doesn't break out, it will continue in a sideways motion. -Typical time-frame: 3-6 months. -The volume should spike when it's breaking the resistance line. At that point the resistance line becomes the support. ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. Stock Market Charts: Double Top - Technical Analysis

04:01
What Is the Double Top Reversal Pattern? -You need a prior trend that is positive in order for it to be a reversal -There are usually two points that force a stock to reverse -As the stock climbs upward, it hits the first top, the stock goes down (sentiment is saying the stock is too high), the stock isolates, and eventually creates a second top -Remember that it creates an "M" -More tops create more resistance -The stock can break through the support line -If you are trying to enter this on the short side, you want to be careful because there is an area of confluence beneath the support line. Make sure the stock clears the support line before entering. -Usually the double top is shorter and takes less time to develop than the double bottom. How to Trade a Double Top Reversal Pattern: -Take the distance between the resistance and support lines (one distance level) and bring it down under the support line. -That is your ideal goal for where the stock may head. ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. Stock Trading Mistake: Trying to Avoid Missed Opportunities

03:16
Rushing trades can destroy your account, especially if you're making this mistake often. Example: -If a stock goes up and down several times and you've missed opportunities to sell when it peaked, you may get "ants in your pants" -This can cause you to buy before the stock begins to ascend again, and it may actually decrease instead -You'll take a loss simply because you were rushing -The past doesn't always equal the future and patterns don't always repeat themselves -Wait for volume confirmations: for it to gain volume or to drop and break the support line -Be disciplined and patient in order to avoid this mistake ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. Option Basics and Fundamentals

07:09
Option Basics: -Options are contracts -You pay a premium for them -You are able to buy or sell stock -1 option = 100 shares -They expire the third Friday of the month you purchase them for -Strike price = expiration price -You pay a premium -The option gets traded and sold versus the stock -Most people just trade the contracts Example: -Think of options like buying a house -You find a house that you like in an area where the houses are selling for $150k. You knock on the door and ask to buy the house. You are willing to give $10k up front if the house is sold to you within 6 months for $200k. -It is a win-win situation. -The homeowner gets the $10k and you get the option to purchase the house in the future and you can do research to check if the area is actually developing. -You have the right, but not the obligation to purchase the house. You pay $10k in order to have the option to buy it. -If someone gave the homeowner a higher bid, the homeowner would not be able to sell the house because you have the legal right to buy it in the future for $200k. -The homeowner would have to buy out the contract with you before selling the house for $300k. Types of Options: 1. Call - You are expecting the stock to go up 2. Put - You are expecting the stock to go down ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. What is a Stock & How YOU Make Money in the Market

11:24
What is a Stock & How YOU Make Money in the Market... ★ SUMMARY ★ Are you struggling to understand what is the stock? how the stock market works? or how you can make money from the stock market? In this video I will share with you the basics behind how a company issues stock, how money is made in the stock market, and how you can profit from trading stocks. Stock is simply a piece of the company and you get a share. Has to shares are exchanged or traded over time the value of them fluctuates over also changes. If you are able to buy stocks of companies at a lower price in one year and then hold it over time for multiple years and sell it at a higher price than you make a profit and this is where it comes into the investment side. Investing in stocks is similar to investing in a home or in real estate. If you can buy a house at a cheaper price in one year with time that house value should go up and appreciate and then later on you can sell it for more money capitalizing and profiting from the difference. In this video may share with you some calculations about how a company can sell stock to investors and therefore use that capital to grow the company. All the examples that we will cover will help you see the bigger picture of how the market works based on the last price principal and how you can use it to your advantage to make more money. How Do You Know When a Stock Hit a Bottom?

05:27
How Do You Know When a Stock Hit a Bottom? ★ SUMMARY ★ Many beginners try to find the bottom of the stock or when to get in and when to get out of a stock. You are always trying to find the lowest point however it is very difficult to find or catch the lowest point of a stock. How does a stock move lower? If a stock is moving lower, it is moving from its high and it starts trending lower and lower, usually in a wave type or a stair step pattern. As the stock is making these lower lows and lower highs, this is the trend of the pattern. Because stocks don’t go straight down and neither do they go straight up. Once this pattern reverses meaning the stock starts making higher highs and higher lows, you will see the trend start pushing upward and that is kind of where you start seeing that the stock has made its bottom. When you see the same type of time frame changing the stocks direction and changing its pattern. Absolute value is if you evaluate the stock and negate the market and negate every other stock out there. You can think of it like taking a stock and putting it all on its own. Then you would look at how it would perform or how it would survive in that environment. You can think of absolute value as the stock being absolutely all on its own. The relative value is how the stock or the company relates to other stocks or companies in its sector or in its industry. For instance, if you were to look at Facebook you would look at face book in line with how it’s doing compared to the market, how it is doing compared to twitter, LinkedIn, or any other social media stocks. You could even compare it to other technology stocks. Then you are getting a relative value of how the stock is performing or doing. Stock Basics: 3 Different Types of Stock

02:39
The majority of stock is common stock, but there are two other types as well. 1.Common -Traded by the general public (i.e. on NYSE, NASDAQ, Dow Jones) -Executed quickly 2. Preferred -You either have to pay more to get it or you have to be part of the company to get it -If the company folds preferred stock gets paid before common stock 3. Unlisted -Can be common or preferred, but it isn't traded on the exchanges -It can be traded within a company ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. What does it mean to go short on a stock?

08:39
What does it mean to go short on a stock? ★ SUMMARY ★ Long position With a long position, you buy a stock at a certain price and sell it at a higher price as the stock appreciates in value. The profit that you make is the difference between your buy price and the price that you sell it at. Short position With the short position what happens is that you’re really borrowing shares from your broker, you’re selling the shares first in the open market, then you buy those shares at a lower price and profiting from the difference there. How do you make money by shorting? How is the money made on the short side? In a real world situation, let’s say you sell a camera or you list it on eBay for $125, it got sold, you got paid, now you need to deliver that camera, so that way you are at a neutral status, so you buy it from a friend for $95 because you knew that camera was available for cheap, and you made $30 in profit after you go ahead and ship that camera out. What Should You Start Trading First? Stocks, Options, Commodities, Forex?

05:51
What Should You Start Trading First? Stocks, Options, Commodities, Forex? ★ SUMMARY ★ Stocks, Options, Commodities or Forex? It really comes down to personal preference. Personally, I started with the stock market and prefer it as a starting place for beginners. Why? Stocks have a lot more liquidity, they are easier to understand and it’s easier to get in/out of them. Options are my second choice because you can leverage and make more from your money or trade larger stocks for fewer yields. Basically, it allows you to control more of the expensive stocks. How Much Money Do You Need to Start Trading for a Living?

05:23
How Much Money Do You Need to Start Trading for a Living? ★ SUMMARY ★ When I look at this question, I see the answer in two parts: 1) what kind of lifestyle do you want? and 2) how much money do you need to start trading to get to that lifestyle? Lifestyle What kind of lifestyle do you want? You will first need to answer this question before moving on to the next. Do you want to party 5 nights a week and spend $200 a night? Do you want to live in a $5 million mansion? Maybe you just want to be a stay-at-home parent who has a few hundred dollars a month to help support your family. This also applies to where you wish to live. If you're trading in the U.S. market but living in Costa Rica, the lifestyle costs are different. You need to do some research and calculate what type of lifestyle you need or want and configure costs... What is Pump and Dump in the Stock Market?

06:05
What is Pump and Dump in the Stock Market? ★ SUMMARY ★ Purchasing a stock that's being pumped up by hype is going to give you a recipe for disaster... Pump & Dump Concept What does the Pump & Dump concept mean to you when it comes to your trades? More importantly, what does Pump & Dump mean? It means that a group, entity, or person is pumping up the stock then selling it once the price is higher. They are looking to exit their position. They try to pump the stock price up by sending newsletter lists, emailing people, posting to online message boards and chat rooms, or even posting on social media. Years ago, I received these same messages claiming, "Stock XYZ is going to go up 1000%, because they are inventing a new amazing drug or company – it's only $1 per share now!" A lot of pump & dump happens when it comes to penny stocks or stocks that are trading for cheap per share. These people have purchased a certain amount of stock and are now trying to pump that stock up – whatever means necessary... Technical Analysis: Trend Lines within Stocks

06:34
Trend lines are a way for you to predict price because technical analysis is based on future predictions. Trend Lines - Trend lines have to hit the price points two or more times - You can have a positive or negative trend - They help you look at the future - They can change angles at higher or lower slopes depending on how strong the trend is - Trend lines can be validated with a third or fourth point - Pay attention to trend line spacing or the distance between each point - Tighter points have more validity toward the trend line - Pay attention to angles: the steeper the angle of the trend line, the less validity its support and resistance has (because the price points are being climbed rapidly) - Both upward and downward sloping trend lines can help you to predict future prices within technical analysis ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. Learn About Overhead Supply within Stocks

02:51
What is Overhead Supply? It is an area of resistance where there is more supply than you think. Example: If a stock is trading at $50 per share and has done a lot of trading at this level, eventually it will dip back down and may hit $20 per share. Many of the traders at the $50 level are holding onto the stock in order to break even. This is not a good mentality to have. If the shareholders didn't get out at the $48 price point then they are waiting for it to come back to that price level. As the stock starts trending back up, there is an overhead supply area. When the stock hits it, it pushes the stock down further. In sum, overhead supply = an area of resistance that pushes the stock down further as the stock climbs back up from a dip. ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing.
